“Cultivating Charisma: How Personal Magnetism Can Help (Or Hurt) You At Work”

Are you an introvert? Do you hold yourself back and imagine that only the extroverts win attention and promotion? Well this article by Arnie Cooper is just for you!

Olivia Fox Cabane has made a special study of what makes a person stand out from the crowd and how they do that. She says that our Western culture glamourises extravert behaviour. Actually introverts have a far better chance of cultivating at least one of the facets of charisma – the ‘focus’ charisma – when you give complete attention directly towards the other person. The other 3 facets are ‘authority’ charisma, ‘visionary’ charisma and ‘warmth’ charisma.

Charisma makes people want to follow  and trust you. And in scientific experiments, research shows you can raise or lower your levels of charisma at will. Fox Cabane talks of the Jedi Mind Tricks to help you.

Have a look at “Cultivating Charisma……” for ideas on what it is, how to cultivate it and when to use it.
