“Do You ‘Pay It Forward’? Tips To Generate Influence”

What do you know about the “Pay It Forward” concept? In my view it’s what you do when you’re a parent. Your parents gave you all the love and support you needed when you were a child so instead of expecting you to pay it back and taking care of them, you pay it forward by loving and supporting your children. In a similar way, to follow the “Pay It Forward” philosophy, someone does you a favour and you reciprocate by doing someone unrelated a favour. I have even come across “Pay It Forward Fridays” where people actively look to do someone a favour on a Friday in the hope that their action will be paid forward to someone else.

Graham Wilson, an expert who helps senior executives find new positions advocates the “Pay It Forward” idea. He outlines the concept and then offers some profile-raising ideas to increase influence and reach.
