“6 Ways To Lose Your Audience In The First 10 Seconds!”

I have just come across a glorious list of atrocious first lines – big no-nos with which to start your presentation. This is from iSpeakEasy blog and there are some beauties. Look at these for example:

  • “Everything I am going to say is covered in the handouts”
  • “That was a great introduction. I hope I can live up to it.”
  • “I hope you’ll bear with me because I’m so nervous right now.”

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. And of course, you have never, ever said any of them yourself! Or at least, you won’t from now on.
