“Winning Attention, Winning Business!”

How do you develop such a powerful presence that people turn round when you walk into a room? There is a radiance and compelling attraction when someone powerful is present. How do you become fascinating?

Someone who’d met President Clinton when he visited Oxford told me that she found him mesmerising. She said that when he smiled, it seemed that he was smiling just for her, as though she was the most important person he’d ever met. She was entranced and captivated – as so many others have been before and since!

One aspect of presence is the amount of energy and attention you pay to whomever you meet. The amount and quality of attention you give will create a powerful impact. Move your attention away from internal chatter to focus on the external – at the other person. This benefits in helping overcome shyness. Like Clinton, assume that the person in front of you is important to you and give them your full attention, fully present, here and now. It’s the most flattering thing you could possibly do. And utterly persuasive.

To find out more about “Winning Attention, Winning Business” please come along to the Bite-Sized Masterclass at Blenheim Palace on November 2nd at 10am for 2 hours http://anrah.eventbrite.com
